Hi, I’m Emma

I’m a fully qualified science teacher with over 15 years’ combined classroom teaching and private tutoring experience. I’ve worked in secondary schools in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire in roles ranging from classroom teacher to head of science. These days I offer private tutoring for AQA GCSE students.

I understand that they may be finding the subject stressful or overwhelming, and I am here to support them in their journey to feeling calmer and more confident.

Science can be a difficult subject and the content is vast, so I break down tricky topics so they are less overwhelming for your child. My approach is straightforward and exam-focussed. Whether your child has missed lessons due to illness or a lack of specialist teacher, or they just want to achieve a higher grade, I can help fill in the gaps in their subject knowledge, and prepare them for the exams.

Weekly Group Online Lessons: The Science Boost

From mid-September 2026 I am running weekly small group online classes for AQA GCSE Combined Science students in Year 11, via Zoom.

We will recap important paper 1 content, cover the key exam content from paper 2, and focus on improving exam technique to help students gain more marks in exams.
